Under his leadership, Slow has grown into a fully integrated coffee company operating across Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Kenya and Ethiopia — with nearly 500 employees, 95% based at origin.
At the core is agroforestry – transforming degraded monocultures into thriving ecosystems, restoring biodiversity, and improving farmer livelihoods at the same time. The result is coffee that doesn’t just do less harm – Slow is fully carbon negative across Scope 1, 2, 3 and FLAG, verified and documented. Every cup sequesters more carbon than it emits. Sebastian’s bet is as commercial as it is environmental: sustainability and profitability aren’t in tension – they’re the same thing.
